Mr. Mohamed Farook Mohamed Fawzer submits a copy of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs & Expatriates of the State of Palestine

The Newly appointed Representative of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, M. F. Mohamed Fawzer, Representative- Designate to the State of Palestine has submitted a copy of his Credentials to Her Excellency Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shaheen, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Expatriates of the State of Palestine, on Monday, 18th May 2026.

At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Shaheen welcomed the Ambassador, expressed appreciation of the State of Palestine for Sri Lanka's firm and supportive stance of the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people in all international conferences, she also thanked the Sri Lankan government for the humanitarian support given to the Gaza Strip during the Genocide War and its support to UNRWA.

Minister Shaheen assured the Palestinian State's urge to strengthen bilateral relations with Sri Lanka, moving forward towards holding political consultations in the near future, contributing to the development of joint cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the two sides explored ways to promote cooperation in a number of areas, including tourism, agricultural projects, exchange of experiences, as well as the education sector, particularly relating to supporting students in the Gaza Strip.
