Mission

The Representative Office of Sri Lanka in Ramallah is committed to advancing Sri Lanka’s foreign policy objectives by strengthening bilateral relations with the State of Palestine through principled diplomacy, international cooperation, and constructive engagement.

We strive to:

  • Uphold Sri Lanka’s longstanding solidarity with the Palestinian people and support efforts aimed at achieving their legitimate aspirations for self-determination, dignity, and sustainable peace in accordance with international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.
  • Promote closer political, economic, trade, investment, and development cooperation between Sri Lanka and Palestine for the mutual benefit of both nations.
  • Facilitate educational partnerships, scholarship opportunities, knowledge exchange, and capacity-building initiatives that empower future generations.
  • Foster cultural understanding and people-to-people connections by showcasing the rich heritage, values, and traditions of Sri Lanka and Palestine.
  • Provide efficient and responsive consular services while safeguarding the interests and welfare of Sri Lankan nationals in Palestine.
  • Engage with governmental institutions, international organizations, academia, civil society, and the private sector to build enduring partnerships that contribute to peace, prosperity, and sustainable development.
