Both representatives engaged in a constructive exchange of views, reaffirming their shared commitment to deepening bilateral relations across key areas of mutual interest.
During the discussions, Representative Fawzer commended the historic role of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, in safeguarding regional stability. Particular appreciation was expressed for the Hashemite Custodianship of the Islamic and Christian Holy Sites in Jerusalem, and Jordan’s unwavering commitment to preserving the historic and legal status quo of Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif and the Holy Places. Representative Fawzer also acknowledged Jordan's steadfast political, humanitarian, and developmental support for the Palestinian people in their pursuit of a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace.
The two representatives further explored avenues to complement traditional political solidarity with enhanced economic cooperation, trade linkages, and sustainable development initiatives that foster regional resilience.
Additionally, the two diplomats discussed measures to facilitate religious and cultural tourism between the nations, highlighting the role of people-to-people exchanges in further strengthening bilateral ties.
Mr. S. R. Mahinda Kumar, Attaché of the Representative Office of Sri Lanka in Ramallah, also participated in the meeting.
