Representative of Sri Lanka to State of Palestine

HE M Farook Mohamed Fawzer

H.E. Mohamed Farook Mohamed Fawzer serves as the Representative of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the State of Palestine, bringing over two decades of strategic leadership experience across the public and private sectors. A steadfast advocate for the Palestinian cause, Ambassador Farook previously served for more than a decade as the General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Committee for Solidarity with Palestine (SLCSP), where he played a pivotal role in strengthening bilateral solidarity, fostering public awareness, and supporting the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and lasting peace. Throughout his distinguished career, he has excelled in policy advocacy, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural engagement, equipping him to effectively advance Sri Lanka’s interests and bilateral cooperation.

Ambassador Farook holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Southern Cross University, Australia, a Graduate in Management qualification from Central Queensland University, Australia, and a Diploma in Diplomacy and World Affairs (International Relations) from the Bandaranaike International Diplomatic Training Institute (BIDTI), Sri Lanka. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) with a focus on Economic Diplomacy.

He is affiliated with several professional institutions, including the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA), the Australian Institute of Management (AIM), the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI), United Kingdom, and the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) and Fellowship candidate of the Chartered Institute for Management Accountants (CIMA), UK.

 Ambassador Farook remains dedicated to deepening the historic friendship between Sri Lanka and Palestine through enhanced economic diplomacy, cultural exchange, and mutual cooperation.
